Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our backpack project. Because of your generosity, we were able to deliver 13 backpacks and 7 ladies’ bags. God bless you!

Choir News

The Choir will practice in the sanctuary at 9 a.m. on Sunday, to prepare Lenten music to sing during the worship service. All singers are welcome to join the Choir.

Mr. Maynard F. Case

May 27, 1929 - March 15, 2025

My family has attended church with Maynard at Mosley Memorial UMC and College Park Baptist Church for longer than I have been alive. He was faithful to his Family, his friends and his churches. He was dedicated to Polly throughout their 62 years of marriage and especially during her many challenges with Lupus. Maynard lived a long life never taking the easy road but always chose to do the right thing. He was an inspiration to his family, especially his nephews Charles Jr and Tim. He once told me that the children called him “May May” which pleased him.

Maynard was quick witted and could be a bit sarcastic. Maynard was not one to mince words. Maynard was also a competitor with his friends who were also in the automobile industry. He remained loyal to his employer and friend Landon R Wyatt, Jr for over 50 years at Wyatt Buick. He was also known to put Mr. Wyatt’s best interests for the company over making sweetheart deals with his family and friends. Even so he was able to broker a deal with my Dad, who was one of his competitors, to buy a vehicle for my Mom for Christmas. Maynard did not take credit for this sale giving it instead to one of the salesmen at the dealership.

Maynard also loved to drive and travel. He and Polly went on many excursions, some long and some short. Maynard knew when he was ready to leave even if it led to a very short visit. Maynard also loved to eat and was often found at the head of the line during snack time between the church service and Sunday school at Mosley.

Maynard has now left his earthly life leaving behind his recent health struggles and has rejoined Polly in their everlasting love and life in Christ.
