What to Expect
Our worship service is a combination of traditional and contemporary elements. We sing hymns and contemporary music; words to all songs are displayed on our video system, and hymnals are still available for those who which to follow the music. When a month has a fifth Sunday, our hymns are requests from the congregation.
We believe in the importance of Scripture and in each service we have readings from the Hebrew scriptures, the Gospels, and the epistles, and a responsive reading of a Psalm. As a connection to ancient Christian practice, the congregation gives thanks for the gift of Scripture after the readings. Our readers read from their own favorite translation of the Bible.
Our order of service is simple and typically lasts a little less than one hour. We celebrate the Lord’s supper the first Sunday of each month, and all are welcome to participate.
