Our Ministries
God's Storehouse
College Park actively supports the ministry and work at God’s Storehouse. Church members participate in food collection, can sorting, and yearly food drives. College Park’s partnership with God’s Storehouse has been a blessing and richly rewarded those members helping to support a ministry providing a hand-up to those in need. Come and join in the fellowship of this important ministry.
Grove Park Preschool
For the last several years, College Park has fostered a working relationship with Grove Park Preschool. The church has helped to not only provide monetary support but also provided school supplies and Christmas gifts. The members at College Park understand the importance of early childhood development and are committed in our support of the school’s programs. Join this ministry today and help grow a stronger community that serves and grows together.
Youth Group
College Park has a growing and energetic youth ministry that focuses on creating a strong balance in fellowship, worship, and outreach. Our youth group and its leaders strive to live out our faith at church and in the community. The group is committed to caring for one another and reaching out to others in our community. Our youth actively work to support God’s Store, Samaritans Purse, Grove Park Preschool, and Passport youth camps. Join a growing group of young adults seeking God’s direction in both God’s word and in service.
Sunday School
College Park Baptist Church has a great opportunity for anyone who wants to grow in their faith through bible study. EachSunday morning, Sunday school is offered to all age groups. The children’s department begins with our babies in the nursery, jumps to the toddlers, and skips to our kindergarten class. Once in school, there is a place for children in grades 1st – 6th grades. Older children will then graduate into our Youth department where our teachers and youth leaders have mission work and activities planned for our teenagers. Our Adult department has many different classes to choose from whether by age or gender. We have three co-ed classes for the young adult, middle aged, and senior adults. We also have an all-male and female class. Every quarter, our adult classes come together to have a community bible study. Come experience one of the many opportunities we offer!
Malcolm Huckabee Backpacks Program
College Park has been participating in the God’s Storehouse Malcom Huckabee Backpacks program for four years, supporting its mission to make sure every child has food to eat on weekends. The goal is to keep every child nourished and better prepared to learn.
We first started packing and delivering to Woodberry Elementary School. Over the past two years, the program has grown and now we pack and deliver 66 bags every week to Schoolfield Elementary.
College Park packs the backpacks in our fellowship hall at 5:15 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month during the school year. Come and join us!
Polly Scott WMU Fellowship Group
Our women's fellowship group emphasizes missions participation. Our regular meetings promote fellowship and missions education, and our monthly missions projects help both local and global concerns. Local groups assisted by our projects include God's Storehouse, HAVEN, and God's Pit Crew.
